More than 20 years ago, John Oliverio envisioned bringing the fishing marine industry into a new era: an age of practical high-end technology for boaters everywhere aimed at improving the fishing experience.

In 1998, the innovation of the Power-Pole anchor was born, and the days of traditional chain anchors were over. The creative mind of John Oliverio was sparked, and his diligent hand went to work. He perfected the Shallow Water Anchor with new models and packed his invention into the Power-Pole Micro Driver.

About 10 years ago, John grappled with the idea of becoming more than just a shallow water anchor company. We could look at other aspects of fishing and marine technology and make strides toward even better products than we’ve ever made before. This is where Power-Pole “Total Boat Control” came from.

From there, John set his eyes on marine battery management and decided that we could change how we work with power on a boat in a totally new and innovative way. Connecting every battery on your boat as a single power source gives you more power and flexibility than you’ve ever had before. This is how CHARGE was born and has become one of the best power management solutions in the marine industry.

But what is the value of innovation if it is faulty, unreliable, or fails you when you need it most? John, what is innovation’s value if it is faulty, unreliable, or fails you when you need it most?
