Power-Pole partnering with Reel Life Apparel for Trash to Treasure beach cleanup

Community . Events . News & Press Releases . Outreach

Power-Pole is joining up with Reel Life Apparel to help keep America’s waterways clean this Earth Day for the Trash to Treasure virtual clean-up tournament.

The tournament, which is free to enter for teams of up to four participants, runs from April 17-24. The event is open to all U.S. residents and cleanups can be performed on any park, beach, shoreline or body of water.

Once registered, teams submit pictures of their bags of trash collected through the iAngler app. Each bag of garbage collected will count toward that team’s total. Top prizes for most garbage collected include a new Bote stand-up paddleboard and gift certificates for Reel Life apparel.

This year, Power-Pole is sponsoring the fishing line and tackle category. The team that removes the most discarded fishing line and tackle from the environment will be eligible to win a Power-Pole prize pack that includes our Green Marine eco-friendly hydraulic fluid, reusable straws and drink ware, and other Power-Pole gear.

Other categories include “most unusual” find and “largest” trash found. Additionally, the first 50 photo submissions will receive a 20% off discount code to shop reellifegear.com

Along with the event sponsorship, Power-Pole will taking part directly in the cleanup as part of its CASTnet initiative. CASTnet is composed of J.L. Marine employees who perform volunteer community outreach that benefits our environment.
