NPFC Tournament heads into final month with Power-Pole giveaway
Events . OutreachWith over 2,000 fish registered across 27 states, the inaugural National Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s All-American Fishing Tournament has already been a great success. With just over a month left before the tournament ends on Sep. 28, there is still plenty of time to land the trophy fish that could send you to the top of the digital leaderboard.
Even if you don’t catch that prize winning-sized fish, there are still plenty of prizes to be given away during the chance drawings. Power-Pole and the NPCF will be giving away the first of two Power-Pole 8-foot Pro II Shallow Water Anchors during a live broadcast on Facebook on Thursday, August 22 at 10: a.m. ET. Power-Pole will also be giving away another anchor after the completion of the event. Other chance drawings including a trip with fishing legend Roland Martin, reel package from Florida Fishing Products, and a 39-hour offshore trip from Hubbards Marina.
The app-based competition is open to both freshwater and saltwater anglers across the country. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three catches ($500 for first place, $300 for second, $200 for third) for the following species: largemouth bass, black crappie, bluegill/bream, rainbow trout and cutthroat for freshwater anglers, and redfish, snook, spotted seatrout, flounder and striped bass for saltwater. Anglers may fish from the shore, docks, seawalls, boats and bridges in any natural body of water. The competition uses the iAngler Tournament app for Apple or Android for the catch, photo and release tournament. Winning fish will be determined by the total inches of the largest of the eligible species caught. Winners will be announced live on Facebook on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 6:00 p.m. ET.
Entry fee is only $25 and ALL proceeds benefit the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation in their mission to find less toxic and more targeted treatments for kids.
