Power-Pole announces C-Monster integration for Lowrance
News & Press Releases . ProductsOne of the most impressive innovations to come out of ICAST this year was Power-Pole’s integration with the C-Monster protocol and NMEA 2000 gateway into the Lowrance Multifunction Display (MFD) systems.
The new C-Monster GATEWAY will allow anglers to control Power-Pole shallow water anchors and the soon-to-be-released Power-Pole CHARGE with any Lowrance MFD.
“The CHARGE is an all-in-one, complete power-management system. You can charge your batteries on the run, and the system automatically transfers auxiliary power to the cranking batteries when needed,” says Power-Pole Vice President Robert Shamblin. “The integration between the interfaces allows you to display all the charge data running on your boat onto the Lowrance screen for easy viewing.”
Anglers can now monitor all battery-power usage and levels on-screen. The CHARGE, boasting a complete power-management system that is capable of simultaneously charging up to four batteries, we work on any 24- or 36-volt system with any battery type.
“The CHARGE treats your power as if it’s one big pool of energy,” says Shamblin. “When appropriate, it will transfer power back from where you have it to where you need it. It will always leave enough in emergency power in storage to use for cranking power, so you are never left helpless in any situation.”
2012 Bassmaster Classic Champion Chris Lane is very excited about the release of this new system, as well.
“The CHARGE is the first bi-directional charger out there, and I love how it’s a ‘charge on the run’ system,” says Lane.
“If I’m on my trolling motor all day with 20 to 25 pounds of fish in the well, I know I gotta
transfer to cranking power to get home, and it’s all right there on the screen. It’s the complete power-
management system — emergency power transfer to crank the main motor, easy viewing, everything you
could need on the water so you don’t have to worry about anything and are able to concentrate on
fishing.”
Without a doubt, being able to visually monitor all your power points on the boat will not only give you peace of mind, but the built-in design intelligence of the CHARGE will also enable you to shift power around to where it’s needed — a true game-changer when on the water.
