This week’s featured Power-Pole pro staff member:
Hometown: New Iberia, LA
Home Water: Fausse Pointe Lake
Describe your life as an angler / outdoorsman: I have a great passion for the outdoors. Growing up in south Louisiana there was always something to do outside. If I wasn’t fishing, I was hunting. If I wasn’t hunting, I was fishing. I enjoy spending most of my spare time teaching my kids, Clelie and Axel, the same lessons my Grandpaw and Dad taught me.
Preferred species to target: Largemouth bass ( speckled trout and redfish when I’m not bass fishing)
Favorite fishing technique: Punching
First fishing memory: Pond hopping with Grandpaw
Favorite personal best: Catching a 9.89-pound bass on Toledo Bend. Not quite a ten but close… lol
Favorite fishing moment: Winning the 2017 Bass Nation National Championship. 2 months after being laid off of a job of 12 years. Now going into 3rd year as an Elite Series Pro.
Pro Staff since: 2020
Best part of owning Power-Pole: They’re hands down the most reliable shallow water anchor on the market
Why are you an effective ambassador for Power-Pole: I fish shallow on guide trips A LOT. I get to show a bunch of people firsthand what Power-Pole can do. My clients are constantly impressed with the effectiveness of my anchors!
